I don’t know if it’s tougher to write

Oh, sure. Yeah. I mean, I don’t know if emotionally taxing, if that’s a damaging and even a optimistic thing. It’s not really a look at on the beach. It’s about a man’s psychic, physical, and familial dissolution. I mean, these aren’t subjects that one typically discusses much more than brunch.





Your very first novel, When We arrived toward End, is satirical and at instances laugh-out-loud funny. The Unnamed, obviously, is a terrific offer much more macabre. Is it tougher in your psyche to create about heavier, weightier themes?

I don’t know if it’s tougher to write. It’s just as challenging to create a comedic guide since it will be to create a dim book.
